Great tips.

Staying in shape and staying healthy needs a lot of work to do. I've red a lot of weight loss books before and I think this one is the best. It has a unique ways on how to do various sorts of weight loss exercises. It takes a lot of effort and patience to achieve such body goals, it doesn't matter what kind of weight loss program you are in the important thing there is you have the urge to do it, you must push yourself in order for you to do the program within the time you set for yourself.

Like no other Catfishing book ever made!

What author does is truly remarkable because he lays out each calendar period of fishing and gives you options for how you should approach each individual situation when faced with any type of scenario. Scenarios may include fishing pressure, sunny weather, cloudy weather, is it hot?, is it cold? daytime, nighttime, clear water, muddy water, high water, low water and pretty much any condition or circumstance you would be faced with at any time of the year. Book is very easy to understand and very easy to navigate because he directs you in any situation. A very easy and quick read yet you will want to go back and refer to it again and again. A true work of art.

31 Detailed, Unusual, and Beautiful Fashions to Color – printed on one side of perforated paper

This is another great book but it is quite different from the others that I own. Those books dealt with period fashions (e.g., 1950's, Art Nouveau, etc.) while this is a book called ornamental fashions. The fashions are wildly inventive and creative with lots of detail for coloring. These girls seem almost futuristic Sci-Fy with swirls and twirls twisting around their clothing. I even had problems deciding where the dresses started and stopped. You could certainly show a little more skin that I have by choosing to color areas in flesh tones. I felt that I had more creative control over my coloring with these options and that was fun and different. According to the back of the book, the designs include: "Rosettes, medallions, and sinuous running vines are among the motifs inspired by the decorative arts for these 31 original fashions. The designs adapt ornaments from carpets, textiles, wood carvings, paintings, architecture, jewelry, and other sources."

The coloring book is well made as are all of the Creative Haven books. The designs are printed on one side of their medium heavyweight paper. The pages are perforated for easy removal from the book. The binding is glued but that is not an issue as you won't need to cut pages out of this book. I was able to get the book to lay flat by slightly breaking the spine. The designs all stop well before the perforations. Each of the designs has a framing line around it which I really appreciate and always try to mention when I see it. It gives me a natural stopping place if I choose to color in the background and saves me time and ink.

All of my markers (alcohol and water-based), my gel pens, and my India Ink artist pens either bled through the paper or, at best, left shadows of distinct color on the backside of the page. My coloring pencils worked on and as expected for their lead type and for the standard Creative Haven paper that is used in this book. In the four designs I have colored so far, I have used markers, gel pens and coloring pencils. When I used the markers and gel pens, I used a blotter page behind the page I was working on to keep ink from seeping through. You can use heavyweight paper or card stock the same way or you can simply remove the page from the book and not be concerned about ruining the rest of the book.

These are the coloring medium that I use for testing. If there is something else you feel I should be testing, please let me know and I will see if I can add it to my growing pile:

Beautiful Models Posing In Unique Designer Dresses............

I ordered two of these coloring books....One for me and the other for my niece who also loves coloring fashion.....I have been coloring for 3 years now to relieves stress and have some quite time....Now coloring is being used as a therapy for children with special needs to help them focus more............

This book contains 31 designs by artist, Ming-Ju Sun........They are beautiful models in all different poses wearing unique, designer dresses made from: metal, flowers, swirls , wood, textiles, carpets, medallions, rosettes, jewels, hearts, architecture, paintings and so on....... They all come with a black border around them which makes them stand out.....

They are printed on one side of the page.....On bright, white, thicker than usual paper....The pages are perforated so they can be pulled out to display if you want to.....Markers and gel pens still bleed through......I put a piece of paper in between for safety and my niece just pulls hers out....

I use pencils so I can easily blend colors for different effects......My niece use Fiskar gel pens.....

What Zach doesn’t expect to find is the tarantulas and alligators and shamans and native Amazonian tribes and pretty Chinese girls and eccentric characters that, chaotic and random and dangerous as they may appear, all seem to be leading him somewhere, until, in the end, Zach discovers (well, let’s not leave any spoilers here).

Though at its outset, In Search of Lady Ayahuasca is a humorous examination of the abstract, seemingly incredulous beliefs we humans are drawn to, at its heart it’s about a young man struggling to find his own way in a world of beaten-down paths. Zach Zimmerman’s guile and self-deprecatory humor make his journal hard to put down, and his insightful stream of consciousness regarding the nature of skepticism and spirituality will have you reflecting inward as you laugh outward.

Funny, Insightful, and Well-Conceived

For anyone interested in not traveling through the menacing landscapes of the Amazon and embedding yourself with an international group of spiritual seekers and misfits high off their gourd, but rather reading about such riveting exploits from the comforts of home, this book is ideal. Written by a promising millennial heir to Bill Bryson—with a sprinkling of Jordan Belfort’s outlandishness, for good measure—this travel journal is as insightful as it is funny, as philosophical as it is accessible, and as sincere as it is iconoclastic.

I am surprised how much I enjoyed this book as the author is a millenial and I am a baby boomer. His journey for self discovery takes many interesting twists and turns as he navigates his way through inhospitable terrain, amusing characters and the pain from losing a brother. He skillfully depicts many laugh out loud observations and occurrences but is very introspective as well. I am sure that younger readers will love this book but this old guy did too.

But is the Lady real?

I had a great time reading this brief travelogue about a young man's journey through Amazonian Peru in search of the fabled Lady Ayahuasca. To capture my interest, a travelogue has to be more than just a linear journey from point to point with descriptions of scenery, customs, and bland traveler anecdotes. You can get that from Fodor's travel guides. I am looking for unique view points, epiphanies, explosions of amazing beauty, intimations of metaphysical truths. It helps if there's a thematic element: something that makes the various stops and destinations more than just random beads along a chain. Humor helps, as does the singular perspective of an author who is seeking to find more along the way than conversation pieces that have no inner relevance. Best of all are the revelations that come to a narrator seeking to find himself.

The title, In Search of Lady Ayahuasca, provides the first clue that we are in for more than a dispassionate journal of things seen and heard. The narrator, in the middle of seven months of wandering through Peru, is searching for the legendary Lady Ayahuasca, a nature spirit who seldom makes herself seen. When she does appear to a traveler, that person's life will be for ever altered by the strangeness and the majesty of the truths that she imparts. The narrator's approach to this quest is an oddly scientific one. He is not so much interested in gaining the perspective-shattering wisdom of the forest. He is more interested in knowing whether or not the spirit goddess even exists.

The imagery is colorfully and sensuously presented, with the sights, sounds, the smells conveyed by a narrator who is keenly observant of the exotic imagery he is passing through. Likewise the characters are shrewdly viewed, evaluated and dissected by an observant and worldly mind that is rarely taken in by the ruses and theatrics of natives who view the travelers as fat partridges lining up for the plucking. The travelers themselves are subjected to an even more intense sarcastic scrutiny. Most of them fall into several classes of misguided visionaries embarked on an endless journey of spiritual enlightenment or the attainment of heightened self-awareness. The narrator peels their pretensions and false pride away like layers of an onion, often making hilarious observations that strike the reader with the force of truth. The narrator does not spare himself in these mental de-constructions. The humor - and there is humor present in almost every interaction between the characters - is self-directed as often as it's aimed at others. This book is hilariously funny,

As the travels proceed down the Amazon in a cargo boat, the narrator continues to meet natives and travelers of every description. They arrive at the largest city in Peru that is only accessible by boat. The narrator falls in with a couple of attractive women from Shanghai, and they embark with a tour guide to several lodges deep in the jungle, and even mingle with indigenous Indians who are said to avoid contact with travelers (but it soon becomes apparent that they are only too familiar with travelers and do a lucrative business in trade with them). The narrator is convinced that he will have to go to the furthest outposts of the wilderness to have a chance to meet Lady Ayahuasca. After a night of heavy drinking at a forest lodge, the prettiest of the Chinese women begins to show signs that she would not be reluctant to share some carnal indulgences with the narrator. While he has suggested he is interested in this young lady throughout his narrative, nothing happens, and the next day the Chinese women go their own way. It suddenly occurred to me, the reader, that during the whole narrative, the narrator avoided personal contact or involvement with the various people he met. He was strictly an observer, not a participator.

The last journey was a trip to a self-proclaimed shaman who operated a back-woods resort where the featured activity was daily indulgence in a narcotic drug also called Ayahuasca. The travelers to this resort, from various countries around the world, were searching for spiritual enlightenment rumored to be associated with the use of this drug. The narrator was here again only to observe, not participate, and mused that he might be the only traveler to the resort who came with no intention to indulge in Ayahuasca. None-the-less, the narrator did have a revelation during this visit. I won't be a spoiler as to the nature of the revelation and how it relates to the existence or non-existence of Lady Ayahuasca. But I will strongly endorse this book. It is entertaining, wittily told, and hilariously funny.

You'll love this book!

Full disclosure up front: one of the stories in this book was written by me, about my old boxer, Tater. (page 198, "Meant for Each Other"). I am relatively new to dog ownership, and reading the other 100 stories in this book has touched my heart and helped me to realize what unique personalities our doggie friends have. The dogs depicted here are funny, sweet, unselfish, clever, resourceful, loyal, and so much more. I predict you will love this book. And all royalties go to the American Humane Society. What could be better?

This is a great book of incredibly heartwarming, funny, beautiful and thought provoking stories about...cats... and their people, and the impact these cats -- all of them -- have made in the lives of their "owners" ("Staff" is more like it, LOL).

An innocent looking cat graces the front cover. Look closely -- it appears to be licking its chops in anticipation of some nefarious deed. The Foreword itself, written by Robin Ganzert, President and CEO of the American Humane Association, is upbeat, educational without being preachy, anecdotal, informative.

The Table of Contents is "The Shape Of Things To Come" indeed, beginning with "My Ornery Cat", "My Goofy Cat", "My Healer Cat", and more -- ending with "My Heroic Cat" -- yes cats too can rescue people, body, mind, heart and soul.

The cat who LOVED to waltz with his person; the cat who INSISTED on going out at 7:15 am every morning -- as it turns out -- to comfort the widow of a neighbor. Cats who healed. A cat who stole a Baby Jesus...... and re-deposited the figure in the most unlikely place.....A kleptomaniac cat who brought the whole neighborhood together by stealing from other people's houses and bringing the bounty back home with him (as the cat's owner said, they ended up knowing the shoe size of just about everyone in the neighborhood, as the cat had stolen so many shoes, and slippers). Thomas, the overweight cat who developed an absolute addiction to toast. A loving cat named Lucky who made his special needs owner think about who REALLY was the Lucky one in this relationship. And who can't help laughing when the normally cat-hating Mrs. Pitt stood up for the parsons' wife's cat even after the cat sent the ladies' auxiliary meeting into a huge tizzy!

This is not an over-sweet or sappy sentimental book -- it is a book filled with stores of mutual love, spiritual healing, wonderment and awe that will give you cause to think, laugh, cry and maybe even have a profound "aha" moment. Containing anecdotes, stories to make you laugh or cry or wonder....... and interspersed with cartoons and photos, this book is very hard to put down. Time and again it is easy to see how these cats have taught their people "valuable life lessons". Excellent as usual. Mirsad continues to bring out sources of help and tips for bothering the players the coach and the parent. If you need coaching books with the best tips and advice look no further than typing in 'MIRSAD HASIC' into the amazon search bar. This particular book is helpful in learning new skills and abilities in order to create a better more rounded player. I am a massive fan of your work and enjoy the read and as a bonus I learn new things in every chapter of your books. Thanks Mirsad and hope you continue your great work.

Helpful for Coaches, too!

I read this as a Recreational Soccer coach trying to help my U12 players. While I am not the target audience, I found much of the book to be very helpful in teaching kids what to THINK. That alone gives it 5 stars. I have pages of notes that I will use during practice to teach my players what to think about so that they can learn better tactics to improve individually as well as a team.

The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to offer a few more specific tips on moves. There were a number of chapters that specifically explained how to do something better - things as simple as be on your toes, but there were many where nothing was mentioned other than thinking about previous experiences. I would have liked to see a few more details as teaching tools - to ensure that players are doing things mechanically correct. Perhaps that's not the intent of this book, but I found the most useful chapters to be the ones that included these tips.

Regardless, this was a quick, concise read that was very helpful and I'm glad I read it

I'm Kai (17 yrs) from India, I played soccer since my childhood and love to play as aggressive midfielder. I've read cover to cover for the first time, the next time I read slower and memorize all the 30 action plan layout. The book is written with precise expertise and above all its easy to understand, it already improve my soccer mentality and I couldn't wait to apply all the action at the ground with my team mates today itself, I do recommend this awesome book to all soccer fans around the world!

Fun, light strategy game

My wife and i love this new version of the classic tabletop game. Nothing is too deep here, and in fact my 4 year-old held his own against me (with me offering key tactical advice at times), yet the gameplay is exciting and the quality of the components is top notch (even the box is awesome!). Osprey Games is a wonderful company, who gave those of us who supported a corrupt Kickstarter for this game years ago a free copy of the game when they obtained the publishing rights. They certainly did not have to do this; they had nothing to do with the other publisher. A world-class company in my book.

I have literally waited years for this game and I'm happy to say that it doesn't disappoint. I have to say i disagree with the other reviewer here, who seems to have missed a few key concepts in the rules. There are many ways to alter your opponent's path or even your own that keep the game interesting.

In summary, Odin's Ravens is a fun, light strategy game that gamers and non-gamers alike will enjoy.

A pleasant, fun, interesting, two person game.

This is a fine two person game. Lots of fun with clear, simple, rules, but it provides an interesting game that can be played several times at a sitting. The new design is very nice, while retaining the "scandanavian" motif. The new rules actually improve past versions.

I find off the grid lifestyle to be independent and peaceful away from all the hustle. Some day I would love to lead that kind of life. So I was hoping to gain enough knowledge about such lifestyle before I find my own place. I found this box-set very informative as I learnt about zone restrictions, safe water, waste water disposal, husbandry, kitchen garden, methods for heating and cooling etc. The camp fire recipes are very interesting. Preparing the first aid kit and preparing for technology collapse is informative. Overall it's an interesting and adventurous box-set.

Very informative with practical tips to get prepared for a sustainable life. Surviving the Death of Technology is even entertaining, I got really involved while reading this book.
The set has a good selection of books, campfire recipes seem to be really nice, definitely will try some once we are off for camping.
