Guide good; Amazon bad

The guide is for the hardcore and noobie alike. The glossary and primer go over all of the concepts that have been developed within the street fighter scene over the last two decades. It's really an amazing resource and no one should let worries of outdated frame data and updated meta stop them from picking this up.
Amazon gets 2 stars because, although the shipping was on time and the price was excellent, the condition was unacceptable for a book that is being advertised as new and as a collector's edition.
I myself am only interested in the information and paying a bit extra was worth having it in such a nice presentation; but Amazon is borderline scamming its Prime members by enticing them with cheap prices on supposedly "new" product and delivering damaged goods. If you're getting this guide as a collector, look elsewhere; Amazon seems to be getting damaged goods and is now selling them off for cheap but lying about the condition. Not cool.

Must have for collectors, fans, and newcomers alike.

This guide is a collection of literally every piece of information you'd need on Street Fighter, and even fighting games in general. It's written by pros, including Long Tran, A.K.A. Shady K. It not only has accurate frame data for all characters, it explains a lot of the general fundamentas that go into playing fighting games, as well as the lingo. The explanation on "trip guard" is insane. The art looks fabulous. If you're a newbie, this is for you. If you're a collector, this is for you. If you're a Street Fighter fan, this is for you. It also includes a free copy of the e-guide, which will be updated for a whole year post-launch, and is usually $10 on its own. This is probably the best fighting game guide I've read since the SF Anniversary Collection guide, which was co-written by Mr. Wizard himself, Joey Cuellar.

MUST HAVE GUIDE.

This is one of the most if not most comprehensive fighting game guides you could own. For reference, I have the Ultra Sf4 guide made by the same authors, ultimate marvel vs. Capcom 3, street fighter x tekken, smash for wii u and marvel vs. Capcom 2 guide. Like other people have said, this guide not only applies to street fighter 5 as a new game but fighting games in general. Explains in depth move breakdown of each of the launch characters, strategy on how they should be played, and even matchups when going against them! This guide would be a perfect 100 if it only had the rest of the cast that will eventually be available but considering the price that amazon has it at to what it sells at full retail in gamestop, you get an excellent price. It also comes with a free digital guide for your smart phone or tablet that will be updated as time goes on with balance changes and with additional characters. Well worth rhe money.
