Good year for a hard copy update

Plenty of changes this year to keep you going back to the AP Stylebook over and over. Always go for the spiral-bound copy. Why wouldn't you want it to lay open on your desk among all the other things which collect on a journalist's desk?

The gold standard, and my bible. There are some changes (e.g., e-mail is now email). As always, it's easier to look things up in this than in the Chicago Style book.

Excellent information - do not recommend spiral book

My review is a bit mixed.
Content - Five Stars
This Stylebook provides a list of both words and corresponding definitions. As writers, there are times when we think we have a sense of a word we want to use, but need to confirm its meaning. This is where the Stylebook is of great value. Or, there are times when we cannot thing of where or where not to insert a dash. Again, the Stylebook is of great value.
Book itself - Two Stars
This particular book is spiral bound, which makes for ease of turning pages - that is if you can keep hold of them. The book itself is flimsy in quality. If you are not using it on a solid surface, you will find yourself having to adjust and re-adjust yourself just in order to keep the page you need in place. I cannot remember if there was a firm spine version of this book. If so, I would suggest going that route. I bought the spirals for ease of turning, but regret that choice.
