What can I say—I love Lise's work. I read all of her books. She's on a personal terror right now of creating some of the most useful, no nonsense guides to freelancing that I've read. Lise has been there, done that and suffered through the first steps in breaking the chains of your Jay oh bee and striking out on your own. It's scary and at first all you want to do is get someone to pay you SOMETHING to prove to yoruself that it was a good decision to quit that high paying job to be your own boss and work on your own terms. The trouble, as we all know, you still gotta get paid.

Lise give helpful, empathetic and totally actionable advice on how to make sure you get on a pathway to make what you are worth and not just slave away for clients who take advantage of you because you are desperate to make a buck. She'll walk you through using popular freelancing services online … the right way.

Full disclosure: Lise is a friend of mine, and I've worked with her on a few projects in the past.

Now, that being said, there's no one else I've met that has her depth of experience and knowledge when it comes to working in and winning the freelance game.

Lise has done it again with another thorough guide to an important aspect of being a freelancer or running an online business. In this book she helps to answer many questions freelancers have starting out regarding how much to charge, how to make sure you're getting paid what you're worth while keeping your clients happy, how to negotiate for a better rate, how to insure a job doesn't creep out of scope costing you more than you charged, and most importantly of all, how to make sure you get paid when the job is completed.
